I belong to a book club and we select a variety of books of which I mostly enjoy the story-line of the books. However, I have found that many of the books use profanity way too much for my liking. A Loveliness of Ladybugs was a refreshing futuristic mystery story whose main character, Joy, was charming and whimsical without profanity. I was pleasantly surprised that the plot of the story did not include a murder which most mystery stories do. There was a little hint of romance but it was not the main story-line.
The Ladybugs had two meanings, a musical group of church going women and the actual bugs themselves. I've purchased “A Haras of Horses” and am looking forward to sitting down and enjoying another story written by Blythe Ayne.
